Our Story …

We're thrilled to announce that we're taking part in Mystery Box Rally 2026! This rally will have us driving a car that is 25 years or older along outback roads. We set off from Charleville & return to Charleville 5 days later, each day in between is a mystery, we have no idea where we will be headed until just before departure the next morning. It’s not just about the drive—it’s about making a real difference in the fight against cancer. Every year more and more of our family and friends are diagnosed with this disease . It impacts our daily lives and can effect most things we do . By participating in this Rally we can all help with raising much needed funds for future research and hopefully make more people aware that early detection , support is vital for positive out comes .

Every participating team is required to raise a minimum of $4,000. Every dollar raised goes directly to Cancer Council and helps fund vital cancer research, which is why we’re doing everything we can to hit our goal. Your support, whether big or small, will have a real impact.

Here's what I'm doing …

Mystery Box Rally is a 5-day challenge like no other. Participants drive 25+ year old cars along a mystery route, through some of Australia’s most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It’s not a race—it’s a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.

Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that’s all part of the fun. The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way. And when the day’s drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day’s achievements.

This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways—whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we’ll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.

<p>Gidday Every one . So here we go on our adventure for an amazing cause . As you have probably read in the intro my brother in law ( Mick ) and I are participating in The 2026 Mystery Shit Box Rally . We have to get our shit box car from the Illawarra ( NSW ) up to Charlieville ( Central Qld ) to start the rally . From there we drive approx 2500 ks in out back Qld and finish back at Charlieville 5 days later we hope . Then we drive back to the Illawarra if our shit box car is still running . In total approx 6000ks return trip . </p><p>We have a significant amout of prepartion to do and most importantly is raising donation for our team ( FiiK ) . Your donation is greatly appriciated from both of us and more importantly from the programs it will help develop for cancer reasearch . </p><p></p><p>As you can see by the photo , we have found our selves a real shit box for the rally . A 2001 model commodore wagon . Just a few cosmetic repairs and we should be on our way .
