Our Story …
Many of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another. Whether it be family, friends, work colleagues and people we know that have battled or are battling cancer. Whilst Australia has some of the best researchers in the world, they need our help.
To do this, we will be tackling the Mystery Box Rally in October 2026 to raise funding for cancer research here in Australia.
Our charity chariot is a very well-used 1998 Benz that is undergoing essential upgrades/fixes, to embark on a two-day drive to the rally start line in Charleville QLD. We'll then navigate outback roads on a five-day loop camping under the sky each night with fingers, legs and eyes crossed that we finish each day in working order. Each morning, we find out where we're headed — no GPS spoilers, no sneak peeks, no creature comforts, just open roads, dusty adventure, and absolutely no idea what's coming next. On completion we then need to get home! (read: showers / beds / UberEats).
But this isn't just about the drive or adventure. It's about making a difference in the fight against cancer. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to Cancer Council Australia, funding vital research that impacts millions of Australians.

Here's what I'm doing …
Mystery Box Rally is a 5-day challenge like no other. Participants drive 25+ year old cars along a mystery route, through some of Australia’s most stunning (and often rugged) landscapes, all in support of cancer research. It’s not a race—it’s a challenge and more importantly, a celebration of the power of community.
Yes, the cars break down, and yes, there are plenty of unexpected twists along the way, but that’s all part of the fun. The rally is designed to be a colourful and unpredictable experience, where teams travel in small groups, helping each other along the way. And when the day’s drive ends, we gather around the campfire, share stories, and reflect on the day’s achievements.
This event brings together people who have been impacted by cancer in different ways—whether it's through their own battles or through loved ones. Together we’ll make memories that last a lifetime while supporting the fight against cancer.
